
| Helpful Information Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved at the center. There are many opportunities for involvement, such as reading to children, sharing ideas with teachers, and spending time with your child. Parents are welcome at anytime and we value your input. Communication between parents and teachers is essential to provide your child with the best care possible. Prior to enrolling your child, families are encouraged to visit the center. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions and visit classrooms. Full and Part Time Learning Curve Child Care provides full time care from 6:30 AM until 6:00 PM. Part time openings are available. As vacancies occur pre-registered children have priority for openings. We meet your needs with flexible schedules! Full time and part time care! Great rates, family discount, and Title 20. Days and Hours of Operation Learning Curve Child Care is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. Holidays/Closings The center is closed for the following Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and on Christmas Day. Bad Weather Closing In the event of bad weather Learning Curve Child Care will close when Lincoln Public School closes. Should we need to close during operating hours families will be notified by telephone. When L.P.S. is in not in session weather related closings will be posted on our Home Page. Arrival and Departure Remember to sign your child in and out each day. Please walk your child in and out of the center. Tuition Payment is due every two weeks. We use automatic billing to make it easier for you to pay by credit card, debit card, or automatic billing from a checking or savings account. Licensed We are licensed by the State of Nebraska Health and Human Services Dept. and follow their required standards. Title XX We are a Title XX program. Late pick-ups Please pick up your child by 6:00 P.M. Late pick ups will be charged accordingly. Illness In order to prevent illness from spreading we ask that you keep your child home when ill. Medication Policy Staff will give or apply medication, either prescription or nonprescription, only with permission and written instructions from the parent. Personal Belongings To make your child’s day more comfortable please provide: *Diapers/Pull-ups (if needed) *Wipes *Blanket and small pillow for nap *Pacifier (if needed) *Changes of clothing (shirt, pants, underwear, socks) Please label your child's belongings and personal items. Birthdays/Family Celebrations Birthdays and family celebrations are special days for children. If you plan to celebrate at the center please make arrangements with your child’s teacher one week in advance. Meals All meals meet the U.S. Department of Agriculture nutritional standards. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are served daily. Treat America caters meals for us. Less time cooking is more time for us to spend with children.
